Right from the start, it was clear that Elaine Daly had big ambitions. Starting a modeling career at the tender age of 14, Elaine quickly stood out amongst other models, showing maturity and sophistication beyond her years. The combination of her work ethic, vibrant personality and her statuesque Eurasian beauty quickly won the modeling world over and it wasn’t long before Elaine appeared in countless Malaysian and International press publications. A track record of more than 200 television commercials and advertising campaigns clearly says one thing: Elaine is here to stay.

Elaine’s ambitious determination and drive is also reflected in her education. Graduating from high school at the age of 14, Elaine is one of the youngest ever admitted to law school in Malaysia and graduates with an external law degree from the University of London at the age of 19. In 2003, Elaine is crowned Miss Malaysia Universe 2003 and represents Malaysia at the Miss Universe Pageant in Panama, Central America, proving that beauty can indeed come with brains.

As successful as Elaine’s career in the entertainment industry was, she takes a hiatus in 2007 to chamber with one of Malaysia’s leading law firms and after just 9 months of pupilage, she is called to the Malaysian bar, fulfilling her lifelong goal being a fully qualified lawyer.

Despite offers to continue her legal career, Elaine returns to the entertainment industry when an acting opportunity arose. She discovered her passion for acting with her first break, a lead role in the comedy drama Getting Together. She was hooked from that point on and undertakes numerous roles in television, movies and even theatre including Kopitiam, Astana Idaman, Tea Time with John, Cahaya, The Odd Couple and award winning musical, Frogway.

With all that under her belt, it is no surprise that Elaine is an accomplished television host and emcee. Her television hosting credits range from leading business and finance show such as the Australian Zoot Review to the award winning daily live talk show, Bella. Elaine is also one of South East Asia’s most sought emcees having hosted countless high-profile events, charity galas, awards ceremonies and events, launches and corporate events in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

In 2010, Elaine takes on the challenging role of playing her paternal grand aunt in the story of Malaysian World War II heroine Sybil Kathigasu, in Sybil: Apa Dosa Ku. This award winning 8-episode mini-series aired on Astro Citra was a personal triumph for Elaine as she was awarded Best TV Actress Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2010 for her role as Sybil.

Elaine is a multi-faceted gem. Her passion, professionalism, versatility and commitment for her work has made her one of Asia’s most sought after and accomplished entertainment personalities. 2013 saw Elaine take her career to new heights as she directed her first short movie, Ikal Mayan-Inspektor Mastura for the short film series in celebration of International Women’s Day.


2014 Saw Elaine getting married to her husband Dr Nick Boden and in 2015 she took on her most important role ever, becoming a mother to Eva Jean.
